Watch highlights of the Science, Technology and Policy Seminar 2017

Over the course of a week, ETH, MIT, NUS and SUTD students from diverse disciplines immersed themselves in an intensive seminar, engaging and exploring topis and challenges at the intesection of science, technology and policy.

Themed 'Smart City', the Future of Science, Technology, and Policy seminar covered four key themes:

  • Building a resilient smart nation
  • Cybersecurity
  • Urban mobility
  • Entrepreneurship in the digital world

The students engaged with theses themes from the perspectives of academia, industry and government agencies through a series of lectures, site visits, panel discussions and group projects.

The seminar culminated in a series of presentations by participants, who provided proposals to best tackle the four challenges arising in smart cities, based on the knowledge and insights acquired over the course of the week-long seminar.
