About Us

AsETH (Association of Scientific Staff Singapore-ETH) is the official association of non-faculty academic staff (wissenschaftlicher Mittelbau) at the Singapore-ETH Centre, consisting of PhD students, teaching and research assistants, postdoctoral fellows and senior researchers. All scientific staff are automatically members of AsETH and eligible for the representative positions.

AsETH is a member association of AVETH, the Academic Association of Scientific Staff at ETH Zurich.

The purpose of the association is to protect the interests and the representation of the scientific staff of the Singapore-ETH Centre.

The association actively supports the flow of information within Singapore-ETH Centre and between the association and other groups. It is the representative for questions that concern the scientific staff of the Singapore-ETH Centre. It is a secular, non-profit organisation and is politically neutral.

Furthermore, AsETH ensures a sound working environment at the Singapore-ETH Centre and promotes intra- and inter-laboratory interactions.

AsETH provides opportunities for research exchanges within the Singapore-ETH Centre, workshops, retreats as well as social gatherings such as the reCREATE events for the CREATE scientific community.

If you are interested in participating in any activity or have a new idea you would like to implement, do not hesitate to contact AsETH.
